Moab Glamping Wedding Adventure

“Where you go, I go”

… that is the life motto for Kate & Meghan, & the two really leaned into that phrase as they planned their destination wedding for the desert of Moab, Utah.

With the many personal touches the two beautiful brides implemented into their wedding day, and the help of such a great vendor team, it was nothing short of an experience of a lifetime. As Kate & Meghan shared with me what their priorities surrounding their wedding day were, it was obvious they were going to go above & beyond to create not only a wedding day, but a Utah destination wedding adventure that everyone would enjoy.

The brides & their loved ones spent their nights with Under Canvas, sleeping under the stars in the open desert. Their glamping tents doubled for a stunning getting ready location, & on the morning of their wedding they finished writing their vows from their tent decks. After some tearful preparations with bridesmaids & a little champagne, we all ventured deeper into the desert for a private first look & vow reading. It’s safe to say neither bride was prepared for how beautiful her bride looked in her custom gown, both unique yet kindred in style.

Following what was one of the most personal, intimate vow exchanges the desert has ever seen, it was time for the grand celebration. Guests had already arrived at the jaw-dropping Red Earth Venue & were admiring her cliff views. As Meghan & Kate entered the patio & walked down the side aisles into their ceremony, there was not one dry eye in attendance. Jess with Farmyard Moab created the beautiful crescent floral install, which made for the perfect backdrop for the two brides. As the organic confetti (the brides cut BY HAND) fell around them during the processional, it was a moment worthy of movie screens.

The party carried on late into the night, with a beautiful cocktail hour the brides were able to enjoy, a family-style dinner with toasts & tears, and a first dance only slightly interrupted by their furry baby Scout. As the desert cooled down, the wind & rain arrived for a moment, creating an electric atmosphere to dance & enjoy those final wedding day moments in.

Kate & Meghan were stunning again in their bridal hair & makeup the following day thanks to Lindsey with LV Bridal Designs, and we again ventured into the desert in the most formal of attire. After exploring a few hidden canyons & admiring the grandness of Moab’s beauty, we took a steep hike up a sandstone hill. The ladies made it look easy in their extravagant gowns, & they garnered some praise & awe from passing tourists on the trail. As the sun set around us, we topped out on the trail & in front of us was the most iconic of all Arches. What is typically an out-of-body experience was made even more magical because we had the entire canyon to ourselves.

Kate & Meghan built their wedding on the foundation of adventure & love, and that fact shined brightly through their entire Moab wedding experience.
